POSITION SUMMARY
The Immediate Action Team Pro for Optima Tax Relief, LLC (“Optima”) is located in the Santa Ana, California office and reports to the Associate Director, Investigations. This position plays a vital role responsible for managing high priority pipelines. It is relied upon to analyze client financial situations based on information provided by the client, tax associates and from federal & state agencies. This role works closely with various teams to deliver key components to provide resolution to our clients. This role must also champion Optima’s culture and Core Values and help to deliver the best customer experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Communicate with IRS and other Tax Authorities to request and verify client tax related information, such as compliance status.
- Handle legal, confidential IRS documents such as IRS Transcripts and Notices with the ability to navigate and understand pertinent details reflected on the documents.
- Strategize and create plan of action to approach complex tax case scenarios to request a stay of collection and negotiate terms for release of levies and garnishments.
- Interact with other departments to obtain any additional information needed to analyze client financial and tax situations (Tax Associates, Customer Service, etc.).
- Follow company protocols to ensure the highest level of security to protect the client Personal Identifiable Information (PII).
- Other duties as assigned.
In order to be provided the essential training required to be successful in this role, it is mandatory that you are present for and complete all essential/initial training onsite for up to 5 business days (unless prior management approval is provided). Please note that additional onsite training may be required depending on business need.
Qualifications:EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- CPA or Licensed Enrolled Agent or Tax Attorney
- Active Preparer Tax Identification Number
- CAF Number preferred
- 2 plus years relevant experience
