Role Description
This full-time, on-site Physician Assistant role is based in Birmingham, AL. The Physician Assistant will provide advanced wound care to patients, traveling to home residences or assisted living facilities as needed. Responsibilities include conducting patient assessments, diagnosing and treating wounds, collaborating with physicians to develop care plans, and educating patients and caregivers on wound management. Accurate documentation of patient care and progress is required, and compliance with all medical and organizational standards is essential.
Qualifications
- Expertise in patient assessments, wound diagnosis, and treatment planning
- Proficiency in patient care documentation and adherence to medical regulations
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to educate patients and collaborate with care teams
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and adapt to a mobile care setting
- Current Physician Assistant certification and licensure in Alabama
- Experience in wound care or a related healthcare field is preferred
- CPR certification and a valid driver’s license
