Position Overview:

A Technical Operations Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day most critical technical projects ensuring stability, scalability, and performance of systems and services, while also working with a team of engineers and technicians. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with strong leadership and project management skills in solving any problems that occur to keep the project on track.

This is a hands-on management role suited for someone who thrives in a startup environment, loves solving complex problems, and wants to build systems that scale and be at the intersection of hardware, embedded systems, software, and operational logistics, playing a vital role in ensuring our products are reliable, manufacturable, and scalable.

Key Responsibilities of a Technical Operations Manager:

  • Lead efforts to streamline system testing, manage infrastructure that bridges a gap between R&D and production, and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure production success
  • Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day business operations to ensure organizational efficiency and productivity. Maintains infrastructure and work environment.
  • Lead the implementation, and maintenance of production environments, infrastructure, and tooling while troubleshooting complex technical and logistical issues to keep production on track
  • Develop and support program schedule and execution – Gantt chart development
  • Develop and support technical documentation to ensure product readiness
  • Support technical aspects of contract manufacturing, including BOM management, test automation integration, and DFM (Design for Manufacturing) feedback loops.
  • Establish and manage Functional Circuit Testing(FCT), traceability and Database with Contract Manufacturer
  • Troubleshoot issues during New Product Introduction(NPI) and ongoing production.
  • Facilitate communication and act as the liaison with OptiGrid, CM and Customers.
  • Logistics administration for managing the customer forecasts.
  • QA management of Corrective Action Requests(CARs) and Supplier Corrective Action Requests(SCARs) with customer and suppliers.




Requirement

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • 5 years of experience in technical operations, manufacturing engineering, or hardware development, ideally in a power electronics or hardware startup environment.
  • Deep understanding of prototyping, PCB assembly, power test setups, and product qualification.
  • Experience managing hardware technical teams in production environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with a track record of building and improving operational processes.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, inventory tools, and BOM management.
  • Experience with scaling production in an early-stage company.
