Accountant is responsible for the accounting department's full-cycle accounting tasks so as to ensure a smooth and timely month close. This position reports to the Sr. Vice President of Finance.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Reconciliation of accounts receivable.
- Record customer payments.
- Reconcile credit card collections.
- Reconciliation of accounts payable.
- Manage and post vendor invoices into accounting system.
- Achieving budget objectives by scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating correction actions.
- Reconcile bank accounts.
- Monitor accounts receivable and payables and ensure they are taken care of in a timely manner.
- Analyze transactions to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures that are in place.
- Investigate or audit any data or financial information which comes into question.
- Ensure client and vendor files are maintained organized.
- Manage obligations and correspondence (email or otherwise) to suppliers.
- Reconcile company corporate card.
- Resolve any disputes which arise from vendors and/or clients on billing disputes.
- Responsible to ensure month end is completed on a timely manner.
- Reconcile G/L accounts (e.g., prepayments, accruals, fixed assets, etc.)
- Make necessary corrections and changes when errors are found.
- Prepare journal entries relating to amortization accruals and a variety of other information.
- Accurately record accruals, deferrals, reclass, and interdepartmental entries into the company’s general ledger
- Provide solutions to control issues.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Must be able to communicate fluently in English.
- Must be hands-on and highly organized.
- Good knowledge of accounting procedures and general accepted accounting principles
- Must be able to multi-task to manage multiple priorities and assignments.
- Good time-management abilities.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of technical accounting functions.
- Solid data entry skills with the ability to identify numerical errors.
- Consistent attention to detail.
- Must have proven monthly closing experience.
- Strong eye for errors and inconsistencies.
- Must have great verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have moderate to expert level experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Intacct and Stampli experience a plus.
Education and Experience:
- Two or more years’ experience in operating and managing the day-to-day functions of an accounting department.
- Degree in business, accounting, finance, or similar area of study preferred however, will overlook lack of degree in lieu of proven and successful work history experience.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $76,000.00 per year
