Optical Cable Corporation (OCC) is seeking an ERP Systems Analyst to support and enhance our SYSPRO ERP system and related business applications. In this role, you will partner with teams across manufacturing, purchasing, inventory, finance, and customer service to resolve system issues, improve business processes, and deliver technology solutions that increase operational efficiency.

This is an on-site position based at OCC’s Roanoke, Virginia facility. Regular on-site presence is required to effectively support users and business operations. Occasional remote work may be approved based on business needs.
The position includes both office work and time spent throughout the manufacturing facility supporting end users and business processes.

Compensation: $54,000 – $90,000

What You Will Do
- Provide day-to-day support for the SYSPRO ERP system and related business applications.
- Troubleshoot system, data, and process issues while identifying root causes and implementing long-term solutions.
- Analyze business processes and recommend system improvements that enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Collaborate with end users to understand business requirements and configure ERP functionality.
- Assist with software upgrades, enhancements, testing, and deployment activities.
- Develop reports, dashboards, and data analyses to support informed business decisions.
- Create and maintain business process documentation, user guides, and standard operating procedures.
- Develop training materials and provide end-user training.
- Support user security, system roles, and permissions.
- Assist with data validation, data imports, and data integrity initiatives.
- Coordinate with software vendors and internal IT teams to resolve technical issues.
- Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve system performance.
- Support integrations between the ERP system and other business applications.
- Participate in ERP implementation and continuous improvement projects.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (or an equivalent combination of education and directly related experience).
- Two to four years of experience supporting ERP systems, enterprise business applications, manufacturing systems, or other complex business software.
- Experience troubleshooting software, data, and business process issues.
- Experience working directly with business users to gather requirements and resolve system challenges.
- Experience creating reports, analyzing data, and documenting business processes.
- Experience supporting ERP platforms such as SYSPRO, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Epicor, or Infor.
- Experience in a manufacturing or supply chain environment.
- Basic SQL query experience.
- Experience with Power BI or similar business intelligence tools.
- Familiarity with inventory, purchasing, production, or finance operations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, formulas, lookups, and data analysis.
- Working knowledge of relational databases.
- Ability to interpret business requirements and translate them into practical system solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- High attention to detail and commitment to continuous improvement.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
