Learning & Development (L&D) Technology Specialist

We are seeking a Learning & Development (L&D) Technology Specialist to drive the digital transformation of our department while supporting key engineering strategic initiatives. This dual-focus role requires an understanding of adult learning principles and advanced programming capabilities to design, develop, and maintain sophisticated learning ecosystems, automate departmental workflows, and pioneer AI-driven educational solutions. As a key partner to our Product Development functional teams, you will be responsible for supporting key competency training and learning solutions that empower our technical workforce. By blending technical innovation with a passion for continuous learning, you will help lead our organization to the next level and make a lasting difference in how we develop our talent for the future.

Key Responsibilities

1.Solution Development & AI Innovation

  • Custom Applications: Design and deploy custom front-end applications and tools using Python and the Microsoft Power Platform to enhance the learner experience.
  • AI Agents: Lead the development of AI Agents and Assistants (using industry LLM tools within the client environment) to provide personalized learning support and automate content curation.
  • Workflow Automation: Architect and implement complex automated workflows using Power Automate to integrate the LMS, SharePoint, and other enterprise tools.
  1. Engineering Strategic Partnership
  • Stakeholder Alignment: Build and manage relationships with engineering teams to align team training needs with global learning solutions.
  • Competency Mapping: Partner with PD teams to identify evolving organizational needs and investigate new training solutions to address technical skill gaps.
  • Consultancy: provide technical L&D support for engineering partners, assisting with HCM learning system issues and training implementation logistics.
  1. Project & Operations Management
  • Lifecycle Management: Lead technical L&D projects from intake to deployment, evolving projects from ambiguity to defined, on-time delivery plans.
  • Event Coordination: Communicate, coordinate, host, and facilitate in-person and virtual training events for the global engineering community.
  1. Learning Ecosystem & Curriculum Management
  • SharePoint Architecture: Design and manage SharePoint sites as central hubs for learning resources, utilizing custom lists, libraries, and JSON formatting.
  • LMS Administration: Administer and support the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring SCORM/API compliance and seamless data flow between platforms.

Experience Required:

  • Bachelor s degree in Business, HR, Computer Science or a related technical degree with proven experience in training and project management.
  • 2 years of work experience in training, project management, computer science or related field.
  • Team-player with good collaborative skills with the ability to build and foster strong relationships
  • Demonstrated presentation skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to adjust message by audience.
  • Demonstrated Project Management Skills and ability to communicate project plans and status using appropriate tools
  • Strong computer skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, SharePoint, OneNote)
  • Strong analytical thinking and the ability to move projects from ambiguity to execution.
  • Exhibits a growth mindset and a passion for continuous learning

Must be self-motivated and able to multi-task

Preferred Qualifications & Skills Technical Proficiency

  • Programming: Practical knowledge of Python (for AI integration and app development)
  • Microsoft Power Platform: Practical experience in Power Apps (Canvas/Model-driven) and Power Automate.
  • Data & Web: SharePoint Online administration, JSON formatting, and Google Cloud Platform/Microsoft Azure
  • L&D Tech: Experience with LMS administration and understanding of SCORM, API protocols Technical Tools & Technologies Stack The candidate must demonstrate proficiency or the ability to quickly master the following:
  • AI & Data: API frameworks, generative AI solutions, Google Cloud Platform, Terraform, Big Query, SQL, Data Visualization tools (PowerBI, Python data transformation), Git, GitHub
  • Power Platform: Power Apps Studio, Copilot Studio, Custom Connectors
  • SharePoint: SharePoint Administrator, PnP PowerShell, SharePoint Lists
  • Python Frameworks: VS Code, Core Python, Python for data analysis, Python for AI
