Job Summary:

Optec LED Lighting is adding a Sales Executive who can help us meet our revenue growth targets. The ideal candidate is a motivated, well-organized individual who has experience with the sales process, excels at developing opportunities, and values building strong customer relationships.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Sales Prospecting: Research, develop, and qualify prospects and new business opportunities. Understand customer needs and ensure customer satisfaction


  • Lead development: Develop and qualify leads that are generated from various marketing activities.


  • Sales Events: Prepare, schedule, and deliver sales presentations to prospective customers.
  • Attend trade shows, regional /national customer event shows, training seminars.
  • CRM: Establish and nurture customer relationships. Utilize CRM system to track customer communications, meetings, opportunity progress, and sales pipeline.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with operations and engineering to align sales strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Performance Monitoring: Collect and analyze information and prepare data and sales reports. Monitor performance using KPIs.
  • Marketing: Assists in field photography database and helps/assists Optec’s PR/media relations team with support materials and information for project briefs, case studies, website data and sales collateral.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree Required (College Graduate: Business Administration, Finance or Marketing is preferred).

  • Proven track record in sales with 5 or more years of sales experience. Lighting sales experience is preferred.
  • Passionate about the lighting industry, the company they work for and the products they represent.
  • Ability to quickly learn product information and competitors’ product cross.
  • Ability to negotiate deals.
  • Understanding of marketing.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to facilitate sales meetings and deliver compelling presentations to customers.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Working in the office with our operations team.
  • Travel approximately 30% USA only.
  • Previous business ownership experience a plus.
