Regional Sales Manager, Dairy Ingredients
Location: Milwaukee, WI (Relocation Assistance Available)
Travel: Approximately 40-50%
A leading food ingredients manufacturer is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to drive business growth across its dairy ingredients portfolio. This is a highly visible individual contributor role focused on developing new business opportunities, expanding strategic customer relationships, and growing market share with food and beverage manufacturers throughout North America
.This position is ideal for a sales professional with a strong business development background who enjoys opening doors, building long-term customer partnerships, and delivering commercial growth in the food ingredients industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to drive revenue growth and expand market share
- Identify and secure new business opportunities with food and beverage manufacturers
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and decision-makers
- Manage a robust sales pipeline and consistently achieve or exceed sales targets
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity to identify growth opportunities
- Develop accurate sales forecasts and provide regular business updates to leadership
- Collaborate with customer service, supply chain, operations, and technical teams to ensure exceptional customer support
- Support new product introductions and commercialization efforts
- Represent the company at industry events, customer meetings, and trade shows
- Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction while supporting overall business objectives
Qualifications
- Proven success in business development and ingredient sales within the food and beverage industry
- Experience selling directly to food manufacturers and branded consumer packaged goods companies
- Strong knowledge of dairy ingredients required
- Experience with dry dairy ingredients is highly preferred
- Familiarity with products such as whey protein, milk protein, lactose, whey permeate, butterfat, or related dairy ingredient categories is preferred
- Demonstrated track record of driving revenue growth and developing new business opportunities
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and customer relationships
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel
- Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required
- Willingness to travel as needed to support customers and business development activities
