OpSource Pro has partnered with a paint manufacturer in Charleston, SC.
Pay for the position: $19 - $22/hr.
Hours: 9am - 6pm
Role Responsibilities:
- Full compliance for all applicable laws and regulations pertaining to department and job functions.
- Quality management as well as adherence to all company policy and procedure.
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to work with minimum supervision.
- Ability to plan, organize, coordinate and sort priorities in order to achieve timely quality results.
- Proper use of department technology and technique in accordance to applicable Work Instructions.
- Use of the systems and tools (e.g. mixing equipment, scales) including cleaning and maintenance as specified.
- Observation of the quality reporting to superior of any deviations throughout the production process.
- Adhere to daily work load and daily priority list.
- Effective internal communications within assigned team.
- Mandatory and proper use of internal computer programs (e.g. SAP).
- Lean Management / 5S.
- Pay attention to department work area and job functions reporting immediately all health and safety observations or opportunities as well as any other opportunities for improvement (e.g. work flow, processes).
- Maintain a clean, organized and efficient work area.
- Compliance with all company policies and procedures.
- Ability to perform all functions in Scratch-On and H/T, i.e. mixing, milling, filling, etc.
- Meet performance standards of the department (goals & objectives).
- Prioritize issues and manage time effectively, taking accountability for resolving production issues.
- Work well in a team and provide team members support and guidance when required.
- Share and implement best practices with other team members to enhance the quality and efficiency of the assigned area.
- Provide daily support in assigned area, ensuring accurate tracking of inventory levels.
- Ability to correspond with internal teams and external customers with dignity, respect and integrity while exhibiting the Mankiewicz Values at all times.
- Requires flexibility and understanding that this position may be required to perform duties outside the duties listed above in order to meet the mission and goals of Mankiewicz Coatings.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent hours in a related work environment.
- Receive hazardous waste training within 6 months of initial employment, and annually thereafter in accordance with the applicable provisions of R.61-79.262.17(a)(7)(ii), (iii) and (iv)(D) of the South Carolina Hazardous Waste Management Regulations (SCHWMR).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers .
- Experience with SAP software (preferred).
- Excellent computer proficiency (Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint).
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
- Ability to work independently and carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines and standard accepted practices.
Physical Demands
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
- Requires frequent walking, standing, heavy lifting and carrying, stooping, bending, kneeling and reaching.
- Exposure to fumes and hazardous chemicals.
- Must be able to wear a respirator and must pass annual respirator fit testing.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Able to stand for 8 hours per day.
- Must be able to understand directions as provided by the supervisor.
