What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNA Developmental Specialist position at OPPORTUNITY WORKS INC?
To provide personal and medical healthcare and activities of daily living participants with developmental disabilities in a Day Habilitation setting. The program model utilizes a Person-Centered Approach and includes structured activities and interventions that provide instruction and support in the following critical areas:
- Social Skill Training and Development
- Sensorimotor Development
- Communication Skills Development
- Personal Care / ADL Support
- Behavior Programming and Positive Behavioral Supports
- Community Integration & Inclusion
- Physical Exercise & Mobility Training
- Health and Wellness Support
- Adaptive Equipment and Assistive Technology Implementation
Qualifications:
- A CNA certification is required.
- Valid driver’s license and the ability to drive a van preferred
- Crisis intervention training (i.e. PABC) favorable
- CPR, First Aid required but will train if necessary.
- MAP certification preferred
Salary : $24 - $25
