SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Lead Postal Clerk the Postal Clerk is responsible for providing excellent customer service to postal customers for Nellis Air Force Base.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver mail and packages to the dormitory and military units.
- Utilize automated systems to label and forward mail.
- Enter all packages into computer system for tracking.
- Greet postal customers in a friendly and efficient manner.
- Retrieve mail for postal customers.
- Assist customers with transfer slips.
- Ensure and maintain a clean and safe department.
- Maintain weekly and quarterly checklist for Postal delivery van and ensure the van is clean.
- Ability to obtain U.S Government Security Clearance of Secret within 30 days of employment.
- Manage and maintain the highest level of accuracy of mailroom functions (i.e. sorting and distribution of official mail, and postal meter procedures).
- Report suspected Abuse, Neglect, Exploitation, Isolation, and Abandonment (ANEIA) immediately as mandated by state law.
- May be assigned other duties as needed

- This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Required: High School Diploma, equivalent.
- Required: Valid Nevada Driver's License with a clean annual DMV report and must be twenty-one (21) years of age to be eligible to drive company vehicles.
- Preferred: One (1) year verifiable work experience in a postal/mailroom.
