Job Summary:
The Activities Coordinator is responsible for developing, coordinating, and implementing meaningful, person-centered activities for individuals receiving residential services under MN 245D. This role focuses on increasing community engagement, fostering natural relationships, and enhancing quality of life through inclusive, accessible, and enriching experiences. The Activities Coordinator collaborates with staff and community partners to create opportunities that promote social connection, independence, and personal growth.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
- Wage: $20.00 per hour

As part of our team, you will:
- Plan and coordinate a variety of community-based activities that promote inclusion and natural relationship-building.
- Identify and develop opportunities for individuals to connect with peers and community members through shared interests.
- Develop structured activity plans and curriculum tailored to varying cognitive, physical, and social needs of persons served.
- Provide staff with training, tools, resources, and guidance to implement meaningful activities within residential settings.
- Collaborate with program supervisors and staff to integrate activities into daily routines.
- Incorporate individual preferences, goals, and interests into activity planning.
- Support individuals in trying new experiences while respecting choice and autonomy while promoting skill-building opportunities.
- Maintain activity calendars for residential sites.
- Instructing clients in all areas of personal care including health and hygiene, personal possessions, and living quarters, clothing coordination, and money management
- Training clients in personal safety skills including emergency procedures, household and community safety, and individual vulnerability issues
- Participating in client goal setting and developing the methods of accomplishment
- Instructing client according to outcome method and documenting progress and services information daily
- Communicating household and client information clearly
- Facilitating involvement of interdisciplinary team members, including family members

DESIGNATED COORDINATOR QUALIFICATIONS:
- A designated coordinator may have a baccalaureate degree in a field related to human services, education, or health and one year of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons aged 65 and older or equivalent work experience providing care or education to vulnerable adults or children.
- A designated coordinator may have an associate degree in a field related to human services, education, or health and two years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons aged 65 and older, or equivalent work experience providing care or education to vulnerable adults or children.
- A designated coordinator may have a diploma in a field related to human services, education, or health from an accredited postsecondary institution and three years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons aged 65 or older or equivalent work experience providing care or education to vulnerable adults or children.
- A minimum of 50 hours of education and training related to human services, education, or health and four years full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons aged 65 and older or equivalent work experience providing care or education to vulnerable adults or children and is under the supervision of staff person who meets the designated coordinator qualifications listed above.
