Shuttle Bus Driver -PT (On Call)

Primary Duties Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. These duties and responsibilities will be rated on the Annual Performance Review. Performs routine inspection of vehicle to include, but not be limited to: ensuring that the tires are in good condition, oil and water are at appropriate levels, the exterior of the van has not been damaged, etc.; and provide written documentation to supervisor of needed service or repairs. Maintains interior vehicle cleanliness and exterior as needed. Maintains logbooks documenting all trips and accurately complete mileage and time logs. Reports any suggested change in routes that will lead to more efficient transportation. Ensures that employees/route listing, directions and maps are in the van. Ensures that the proper number of flares, safety triangles, first aid kits, jacks, flashlights, etc., are in the van and in proper working order. Facilitates and executes night and weekend trips with 24hrs of notice. Additional Responsibilities Completes accurate incident, accident and seizure reports as needed. Coordinates with students to collect and load baggage. Ensures students check in to proper accommodations. Perform other responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications: Education, Experience, and Certification(s) High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) required. Three years’ experience driving a passenger vehicle is required. Valid driver’s license and/or access to reliable transportation to perform work-related travel required. Eligible drivers must have a good motor vehicle record (MVR). Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Must have excellent verbal communication skills. Ability to become familiar with airport terminals and hotel check in process. Must have ability to be available and flexible with scheduling.
