Dixon Holedall, a proud division of The Dixon Group, is seeking an experienced CNC Set Up Operator to join our 1st shift manufacturing team in Houston, TX! This role is ideal for a hands-on professional with strong CNC setup and troubleshooting experience who enjoys working in a team-oriented, production-focused environment.

What You'll Do:
- Set up and operate CNC machines to run new and repeat production jobs
- Install, measure, and verify cutting tools and offsets
- Locate, install, and secure jaws and workholding devices in chucks or fixtures
- Verify setups using blueprints, job travelers, and inspection tools
- Monitor machining operations and make adjustments to ensure part quality
- Identify and troubleshoot machining, tooling, or program-related issues
- Perform routine daily machine maintenance and housekeeping
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment
- Cross-train and assist other operators as needed
- Collaborate with team members, leads, and supervisors to meet production goals
What We're Looking For:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 5 years of CNC setup and troubleshooting experience in a production environment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, routings, and work instructions
- Proficient with precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, scales, gauges)
- Strong understanding of CNC machining processes and tooling
- Familiarity with G-code and basic program troubleshooting
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Mazatrol-controlled machines
- Exposure to minor program edits or offsets at the machine
- Previous experience mentoring or training CNC operators
Physical & Work Environment Requirements:
- Ability to stand and move throughout the duration of the shift
- Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to work around industrial machinery, cutting tools, and metal parts
- Use of required personal protective equipment (PPE)
