Head Start is seeking a creative, organized individual to lead a preschool teaching team and oversee operations of a multi-classroom center.
As Center Director you will:
- Hire, train, supervise and evaluate assigned center staff
- Ensure compliance with licensing requirements and Head Start Program Performance Standard
- Facilitate communication and teamwork at the center
- Collaborate with the Head Start management team, program specialists, parents, and other community partners
- Schedule staff, volunteers, and bus routes
- Supervise students and volunteers
This position has school breaks and summers off.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, or a related field; two years teaching experience; two years supervisory experience; valid, unrestricted New York State driver's license.
