Join Fish’s Minneapolis or Dallas teams in our fast-paced Accounting Department as an IP Bill Review Specialist. This role is part of The Hub, Fish’s remote-first group of professionals. Hub employees work primarily from home with no expectation of a regular in-office presence.
How Will You Make a Difference?
- Accurately process bills according to firm and client guidelines, proof billing sheets, review and edit bills within firm systems, and ensure all client specific billing notes are followed by mandatory deadlines.
- Utilize various databases to track drafts (missing, returned, processed), identify cancellation types, and update unique billing instructions for clients.
- Receive and properly process/code and forward invoices according to firm and department requirements. Assist with inquiries from legal staff, paralegals, accounting and/or client(s) with regard to invoices.
- Review and respond to team inquiries regarding billing and e-billing issues. Support team as first escalation point for billing issues and provide recommendations to leadership for resolution.
- Maintain good public relations and observe confidentiality of attorney-client relationship.
What Will You Bring to the Table?
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1 years of experience of administrative support in a professional office environment; experience within a legal firm is preferred
- Experience with billing and/or invoicing is preferred
- Proficiency with MSExcel and MSWord
- Ability to prioritize and organize multiple deadlines
- Ability to use critical thinking and problem solving skills to complete assigned tasks
- This role is remote first with occasional in office collaboration in the Minneapolis or Dallas office.

- The estimated starting pay is $23.08 – $28.72 per hour, which is equivalent to $45,000 – $56,000 annually (based on a 37.5-hour workweek.). Final compensation will be based on a variety of factors, including education, experience, skills, professional background, and overall qualifications. The salary range for this position is consistent across all geographic markets.
