About the Position:
Opportune is seeking a Consultant for the Upstream Process and Technology group. This is a fast paced, challenging role that focuses on skill development and accelerated learning. You will work directly with Upstream clients in a team environment on business transformative projects. Consultants work on business process design, solution strategy, mergers and acquisitions, system implementations, analytics and change management.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Interest in transforming and improving business processes and organizations through technology, automation, analytics, and collaboration.
- Data analytics and management skills to identify trends, opportunities, and risk areas.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication (verbal and written) and problem-solving skills to effectively communicate with client personnel and project teams.
- Highly motivated individual with a goal-oriented personality.
- Excellent data management and research skills.
- High level of competence with MS Office tools, in particular MS Excel and MS PowerPoint. Other related tools include Salesforce, PowerBI, and Tableau.
- A strong interest in Upstream Oil and Gas including land exploration, ownership tracking, accounting and financial reporting.
- Strong history of achievement in school and work.
- Willingness to travel frequently (if required).
- Oil and Gas Industry Internship experience preferred.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, engineering, analytics, MIS.
- 0-3 years of experience in consulting or industry.
- Must have a strong professional presence and effective verbal/written communication skills.
- Exceptional time-management.
- Ability to work with all levels of management and employees.
- Ability to navigate ambiguous situations and projects with a solution-oriented mindset.
- Self-starter with a focus on detail and meeting deadlines.
Location:
Downtown Houston 4x a week.
