PATIENT ACCOUNT REPRESENTATIVE

THE OPPORTUNITY AT HAND
We’re looking for passionate and detail oriented people to join our billing team. This role works with the finance manager and / or clinical staff to correct any issues with charges for diagnosis for visits. You will research and communicate to patients regarding insurance benefits and the patients financial responsibility, while making sure insurance is verified and entered correctly.
OUR EXPECTATIONS OF YOU
- Reconcile charge bills with charts to ensure all charges are captured
- Enter Surgery charges; communicate with surgery center, clinical and or physician to ensure appropriate procedure is correct
- Ensure appropriate documentation has been noted to support charges. Review medical policies to ensure charges have been entered with correct diagnosis to support medical necessity per insurance carrier
- Run unbilled visit report weekly to ensure there are no outstanding visits
- Post any payments collected from office in a timely and accurate manner
- Establish possible payment plan with patient if appropriate and agreeable
- Review surgery schedule and check eligibility, and review schedule for financial arrangements
Ensure authorization was obtained for upcoming surgery and if necessary, communicate with surgery scheduler
