Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Host to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. The ideal candidate will be responsible for greeting guests, managing reservations, and ensuring excellent guest relations. This role is essential in providing a positive first impression and maintaining smooth operations within our restaurant or hospitality environment. Previous experience in food service, hospitality, or guest services is preferred, along with strong communication skills and familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS systems
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries and needs
- Maintain a clean and organized host station
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to ensure timely seating and service
- Handle phone inquiries with professionalism and courtesy
- Assist in coordinating guest flow during busy hours to minimize wait times
- Support overall guest relations to enhance the dining or hotel experience
Requirements
- Prior experience as a Host/Host or in food service/hospitality preferred
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Familiarity with restaurant POS systems, including Aloha POS and Micros POS, is a plus
- Excellent phone etiquette and guest relations skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with professionalism
- Hospitality or hotel experience is advantageous but not required
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude and provide exceptional guest experiences
