TITLE: Water Production Operator (Manager Track)
LOCATION: Near Midland, TX

Overview:
We’re looking for a self-driven, hands-on Class C (minimum) Groundwater Operator ready to own the performance of our growing water production system. This isn’t just an operator job—it’s your system to run. You’ll take full responsibility for our groundwater wells, RO treatment systems, and booster facilities, from regulatory filings to system optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operation and maintenance of groundwater wells, RO treatment units, and booster stations.
- Monitor SCADA system alarms, trends, and performance; adjust setpoints as needed.
- Perform sampling, reporting, and maintain compliance with TCEQ and other regulatory requirements.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on pumps, motors, membranes, and chemical feed systems.
- Support data-driven decision-making through daily production reporting and variance tracking.
- Contribute to standard operating procedures (SOPs) for well operations, treatment processes, and emergency response.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work environment—your name is on this plant.
- Participate in cross-training and on-call rotations (approx. 1 weekend/month).
- Diagnose issues and make decisions without waiting for direction—you’re empowered to act.
- Troubleshoot issues and assist with minor field repairs or emergencies.
Required Qualifications:
- TCEQ Class C Groundwater Operator License (or higher). AND
- Must have successfully completed TCEQ-approved training specific to membrane treatment systems, as required by 30 TAC §290.46(e). This will include:
- Reverse Osmosis/Nanofiltration (RO/NF) Operator Training (minimum 8 hours, executive-director approved).
- 3 years of experience in groundwater or RO treatment operations.
- Strong mechanical aptitude (pumps, chemical systems, membranes).
- Basic electrical/controls troubleshooting experience.
- Ability to work independently, manage compliance requirements, and make sound decisions.
- Valid Texas driver’s license with clean record.
Preferred:
- Experience with Ignition SCADA or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with capacity planning and blended well operations.
- Strong reporting/documentation skills (Excel/Smartsheet).
MUST HAVES FOR ROLE:
- Utility Pants: Employees must wear durable utility pants suitable for the work environment.
- Safety Shoes: Steel-toed or other appropriate safety shoes are mandatory to protect against workplace hazards.
- Candidates must consent to and pass a background check and drug screening as part of the hiring process.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
