Compensation: At OpenText, we offer a thoughtfully designed benefits package that supports your physical, emotional, and financial wellbeing. Salary Range: $71,000 - $102,000 USD Depending on the candidate’s education, experience, skills, geographical location, and alignment with internal equity and external market, actual salary may vary and be higher or lower than the range posted.

join our dynamic global tax team as a Senior Tax Analyst, US Taxation where you will play a key role in supporting U.S. corporate income tax compliance, controversy, planning, and income tax reporting in accordance with ASC 740.
The Open Text Tax Department is charged with the responsibility to create value by:
- Ensuring timely and accurate tax compliance and accounting
- Deferring or reducing cash taxes
- Managing and Balancing Tax Risks
- Prepare and/or coordinate preparation of U.S. corporate income tax returns, extensions, and quarterly installments for separate entities and consolidated groups, including collaboration with third-party tax advisors as needed.
- Collaborate with U.S. controllers and internal departments to gather data for tax filings.
- Prepare additional tax forms (e.g., Residency Certificates, FBAR, 1042, W-8/W-9).
- Assist with ASC 740 tax provision calculations, including FIN 48 reserve analysis.
- Assist with complex international tax calculations (NCTI ( FKA GILTI), Subpart F, BEAT, FDDEI (FKA FDII), FTC, etc. ).
- Assist with cash tax forecasting, including tax account reconciliations.
- Conduct research and document tax positions, accounting methods, and processes.
- Respond to tax notices and support resolution of disputed issues.
- Support IRS and State income tax audits.
- Stay current on tax law changes and assess their impact.
- Assist with modeling of various tax planning strategies and tax law changes.
- Participate in special projects and cross-functional initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required).
- Minimum of 1–3 years of U.S. tax experience in public accounting and/or a multinational corporation.
- CPA designation or active enrollment (preferred).
- Strong understanding of consolidated tax returns for a large multinational company and ASC 740 requirements is a plus.
- Familiarity with international tax concepts (NCTI (FKA GILTI), Subpart F, BEAT, FDDEI (FKA FDII), FTC, etc.) is a plus.
- Experience interacting with tax authorities and external auditors is a plus.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach and ability to work independently or in teams.
