Unarmed Security Guard

Job Summary

We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Unarmed Security Guard to uphold safety and security standards across our facilities. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring premises, controlling access points, conducting patrols, and ensuring a safe environment for staff, visitors, and property. Your proactive approach will help prevent incidents, manage emergencies effectively, and maintain compliance with security regulations. This position offers an opportunity to serve as a key protector of our organization’s assets while providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols of the premises to identify and address potential security risks or hazards.
• Monitor surveillance systems such as CCTV cameras to oversee activity and detect suspicious behavior.
• Control access points using security protocols and access control systems to authorize authorized personnel and visitors.
• Write detailed incident reports for any security breaches, accidents, or unusual activities observed during shifts.
• Respond swiftly to emergencies by following established procedures, including fire alarms, medical incidents, or unauthorized access attempts.
• Assist in performing background checks on visitors or contractors when required.
• Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency responders during incidents to ensure safety and proper resolution.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of surveillance technology including CCTV systems and access control systems.
• Experience with physical security practices such as patrolling, manual handling, and heavy lifting when necessary.
• Ability to perform first aid procedures including CPR and AED operation confidently.
• Familiarity with incident report writing and documenting security-related events accurately.
• Knowledge of law enforcement procedures and emergency response protocols.
• Skilled in conflict de-escalation, conflict management, and customer service to handle challenging situations professionally.
• Competence in performing background checks and ensuring compliance with security regulations.
• Ability to operate security tools such as Taser devices (if applicable), fire extinguishers, and other safety equipment.

Pay: $23.99 - $28.89 per hour
