Role Overview

The Project Manager / Scrum Master (PM/SM) will lead delivery across SAP IT and custom IT development initiatives, including SAP S/4HANA, cloud platforms, and proprietary systems such as LMIS (Locomotive Maintenance Information System). This role requires managing complex, multi-stream projects while also serving as Scrum Master for multiple agile teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end project lifecycle from initiation through implementation, ensuring delivery within scope, schedule, budget, and quality targets
• Lead agile delivery by serving as Scrum Master across up to 2–3 teams, facilitating ceremonies and removing impediments
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, milestones, and resource allocations
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and multiple workstreams to prevent delivery conflicts and dependencies
• Drive communication across stakeholders, scrum teams, vendors, and leadership
• Manage third-party vendors and system integrators within agile frameworks
• Ensure effective change management, risk mitigation, and issue resolution throughout the project lifecycle
• Oversee preparation of project documentation, status reporting, and budgeting
• Provide day-to-day leadership to project teams and ensure alignment with business objectives
• Utilize project management tools such as MS Project, Visio, Excel, and Word

Project Portfolio

Project 1: SAP Cloud Transformation

• Solution Manager to SAP Cloud ALM
• Replace SAP Solution Manager 7.2 with SAP Cloud ALM across the enterprise landscape
• Phased implementation:

1. Application & Business Process Monitoring
2. Change Management for BTP transports (CTMS)
3. Change Management for S/4HANA transports (CTS)

• Enable unified monitoring for SAP BTP, Datasphere, SAC, and SuccessFactors
• GRC Migration to SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud
• Migrate SAP GRC 12.0 from on-premise DB2 to SAP HANA private cloud
• Prepare environment for SAP GRC 26 adoption

Project 2: Source-to-Pay Transformation (SAP S/4 & Ariba)

• Implement an integrated procurement ecosystem across SAP S/4HANA and Ariba
• Standardize sourcing, procurement, contracting, invoicing, and reporting processes
• Enable real-time analytics for spend visibility, supplier performance, and compliance
• Reduce manual processes and improve data synchronization across systems

Project 3: Rail Health Management System

• Design and implement a Rail Health Management Dashboard within an Angular-based Rail Planning Interface (RPI)
• Support planning, scheduling, execution tracking, and compliance for rail maintenance
• Leverage existing authentication, UI standards, and system architecture

Required Qualifications

• 5 years of experience managing SAP S/4HANA and cloud-based projects
• Proven experience managing large, complex programs with multiple workstreams
• Hands-on experience in Agile/Scrum environments, including vendor coordination
• Certified Scrum Master with at least 3 years of experience leading agile teams
• Ability to manage Scrum responsibilities across multiple teams simultaneously
• Experience with third-party vendors and system integrators in distributed delivery models
• Knowledge of SAP ecosystem components including:
• SAP S/4HANA
• SAP Sourcing / Ariba
• SAP GRC
• SAP Solution Manager / SAP Cloud ALM
• Strong understanding of cloud-based SAP landscapes and integrations

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP Finance modules (FI, FI-TAX) and SAP PI/PO
• Experience managing proprietary or custom-built enterprise applications
• Familiarity with transportation, rail, or asset management systems (e.g., LMIS)
• Experience supporting M&A-related project initiatives

Required qualifications include 5 years of experience managing SAP S/4HANA and cloud-based projects, proven delivery of large multi-workstream programs, hands-on Agile/Scrum experience, Certified Scrum Master credential with 3 years leading agile teams, ability to manage multiple teams concurrently, vendor and system integrator management in distributed models, and strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, Ariba/Sourcing, GRC, and Solution Manager/Cloud ALM within cloud-integrated landscapes. Preferred qualifications include experience with SAP FI/FI-TAX and PI/PO modules, custom enterprise applications, transportation or asset management systems (e.g., LMIS), and M&A-related projects.
