As a Treatment Foster Parent, your goal is to develop meaningful relationships with the youth placed in your home, while creating a safe and loving environment where they can thrive.
Foster Home Benefits:
- Free training in Crisis Prevention, CPR/First Aid, and trauma-informed parenting

- Direct Support Professionals for additional In-Home Support
- Contractor compensation: $1,800.00 - $5,000.00 per month Tax Free
Responsibilities:
- Providing a safe home for youth
- Include youth in family and community activities
- Utilize trauma-informed services to help youth develop healthy relationships
- Encourage interaction and independence to promote positive social behavior
- Assist with daily activities, model, and teach life skills
- Maintain the health and safety of children and youth in your care
- Administer and monitor medication, when necessary
- Attend and transport youth to appointments
- Be a role model and remain calm in times of stress or excitement
- Provide crisis intervention and conflict resolution as needed
- Document weekly progress reports and incident reports as applicable
Requirements:
- You must be a resident of the state of New Mexico
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Must have an extra empty bedroom or bed for the individual to have their own space.
Salary : $1,800 - $5,000
