KHBT 97.7, Humboldt, IA, is looking for a PD/Afternoon Host with at least two years of on-air experience. Quality production a must. Programming background preferred, but not necessary. We are a small market station and try to be our best every day. Locally owned and operated, decisions are ours. Small, promotional minded staff caring for our listeners and advertisers. Responsibilities

• Host lively and engaging afternoon radio shows, delivering compelling stories, interviews, music segments, and listener interactions.
• Develop creative content ideas aligned with station branding and audience interests, ensuring fresh and relevant programming.
• Manage all aspects of show production, including scripting, audio editing, post-production, and integrating multimedia elements such as videos or social media content.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to create engaging social media campaigns across various platforms to promote upcoming shows and station events.
• Oversee project management tasks related to content creation schedules, live broadcasts, special events, and community outreach initiatives.

Requirements

• Proven experience in radio hosting and media content creation with strong storytelling abilities.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong project management skills to coordinate multiple tasks efficiently while meeting deadlines.
• Knowledge of social media platforms management including content creation strategies for Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or TikTok.
• Technical writing skills for creating clear scripts and show notes; journalism background is advantageous.
