Machinists experience is a plus

The Threader is responsible for operating and assisting in the function of pipe threading in accordance with plant policies and procedures. They will ensure a safe and compliant operation during their shift.
Essential Duties
Pipe Threading
- Operate a Landis Pipe Threading machine to thread various sizes of pipe per production sheet.
- Plan pipe system layout, installation, or repair according to specifications.
- Measure and mark pipes for cutting, bending, or threading.
- Assemble or secure pipes, tubes, fittings, or related equipment, by welding, brazing, cementing, soldering, or threading joints.
- Translate instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function.
- Cut, thread, mark outlet holes, and groove pipes.
- Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce better results.
- Inspect and measure finished products to verify conformance to specifications.
- Apply Teflon paste and tape to the threads daily.
- Divide the pipe pieces by line number per production sheets daily.
- Bundle the pipe pieces and tag the bundle daily.
- Document all threading activities and ensure all paperwork is accurate.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Clean and maintain applicable machinery daily to ensure functionality.
- Wrap pallets daily for ripples.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Serve as a team lead by providing limited supervision to other through motivation, direction, review, and feedback of assigned tasks.
