Job Title: Senior Accountant

Job Overview

Open Lending is looking for a Senior Accountant to join the accounting team. You will be responsible for analyzing and reconciling balance sheet and P&L accounts, ensuring transactions are properly accounted for in our financial systems. You will also work closely with members of the accounting team and throughout the business to improve cross-functional processes and the related system solutions.

Responsibilities

• Manage and execute complex areas of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring deadlines are met and all accounts are reconciled accurately.
• Prepare, review, and approve complex journal entries, ensuring appropriate supporting documentation is maintained.
• Assist in the preparation of internal financial statements and supporting schedules in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
• Support audit requests and ensure documentation is organized and complete.
• Identify and implement workflow and system improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and automation.
• Manage multiple tasks with strict deadlines and maintain attention to detail.
• Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and build strong cross-functional relationships across the organization.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 3 years of progressive accounting experience
• Solid understanding of accounting principles (GAAP), practices and procedures
• Strong MS Office skills
• NetSuite experience (preferred)
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at times.
