ABOUT THIS POSITION A Family Support Worker at Open Door Mission's Lydia House provides direct guest services and supervision, including support of case managers and other staff. Accomplishes and oversees Lydia House's daily routine. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Overseeing the House - answer questions and needs of guests, resolve issues as they arise.
- Maintaining accurate documentation on guests.
- Performing intakes for new guests accurately and thoroughly.
- Performing daily routine tasks including providing regular medication access to guests, supervise mealtimes, check closets and storage supplies and report what items are needed.
- Enter all maintenance requests into the work order system.
- Bring in all supplies needed for the guests at the Lydia House.
- Sharing the Gospel as opportunities arise.
- You have a visible relationship with Christ and regularly attend a Bible-believing church.
- You have the ability to share the Gospel as opportunities arise.
- Acceptable driving record and valid driver's license.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience in the human services field or a related area.
- Great communication skills with guests as well as fellow staff members.
- Two years of Experience in human services or related filed.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Compassion to help those in need, as well as firmness in upholding important policies and standards.
