General Maintenance TechnicianAbout the Role
We're looking for a hands-on, self-motivated General Maintenance Technician to keep our property safe, functional, and welcoming. You'll make sure every building system runs reliably so that guests and staff can count on a comfortable environment. What You'll Do
- Carry out routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues using schematics and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters
- Service and repair HVAC equipment to keep indoor temperatures comfortable year-round
- Handle plumbing needs, including pipe repairs, fixture replacements, and leak detection
- Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for carpentry, painting, and general repairs
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults in facility equipment and complete repairs promptly
- Maintain the look of the building's interior through painting, carpentry, and general upkeep
What You Bring
- Solid mechanical aptitude and experience in facilities maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO)
- Working knowledge of schematics, electrical work, plumbing, HVAC, and interior building maintenance
- Comfort using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic instruments
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for troubleshooting automated systems (a plus)
- Clear English communication skills for coordinating with the team and reporting issues
- Leadership ability, including a willingness to mentor junior staff or help train new hires
- A service-minded attitude and a commitment to a safe, welcoming environment
