Position Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides high-quality, resident-centered nursing care while supervising Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs). The RN is responsible for resident assessments, medication administration, clinical decision-making, and collaborating with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to ensure exceptional resident outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled nursing care in accordance with physician orders and individualized care plans
- Perform resident assessments and identify changes in condition
- Administer medications, treatments, IV therapy, and wound care as ordered
- Supervise and support LPNs and CNAs during the shift
- Respond quickly to resident needs and emergencies
- Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Communicate with physicians regarding changes in resident condition
- Coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges as needed
- Educate residents and families regarding care and treatment plans
- Follow infection prevention and infection control protocols
- Participate in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives
- Ensure compliance with CMS, state, and facility regulations
- Foster a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment
- Current Missouri Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Current BLS/CPR Certification
- Skilled nursing, rehabilitation, long-term care, hospital, or post-acute care experience preferred
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and leadership skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
