What You'll Do
As a Hospitality Aide, you will provide non-nursing, non-direct care support services under the direction of a licensed nurse supervisor. Responsibilities include:
- Support the Nursing Team: Answer call lights, make unoccupied beds, distribute linens, pass ice and water, deliver meal trays, and distribute residents' laundry.
- Promote Resident Comfort: Routinely check on residents to ensure their personal needs are being addressed and provide one-on-one companionship under licensed nurse supervision.
- Maintain a Clean Environment: Clean and organize wheelchairs, tray tables, equipment, and other resident care items according to established protocols.
- Assist with Resident Activities: Deliver mail and newspapers, help visually impaired residents read their mail, decorate bulletin boards, and support activities and social programs.
- Prepare for Admissions: Ensure resident rooms are ready for new arrivals, prepare admission supplies, and inventory and label personal belongings as instructed.
- Assist with Transitions: Help residents pack their belongings when transferring rooms or preparing for discharge.
- Support Resident Mobility: Assist with lifting, positioning, and transporting residents using appropriate equipment and established safety procedures.
- Help with Appointments: Assist residents with preparation and transportation to appointments, activities, and social events.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be enrolled in a state-approved Nurse Aide Training and Competency Evaluation Program.
- Current BLS/CPR certification preferred.
- Dependable, compassionate, and committed to resident safety and comfort.
- Ability to work collaboratively with nursing staff in a skilled nursing or long-term care environment.
