What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping Clerk position at OPAL FOODS COOPERATIVE INC?
Opal Foods is seeking applications for the position of Shipping Clerk at our Neosho, MO School Egg Processing Plant. This role is responsible for maintaining a clear flow of information, orders and the related paperwork between the assigned facility, their shipping team, guard shack, and the main office.
Essential Job Functions – Must be able to perform these tasks with or without reasonable accommodations
- Relate shipping information from the previous day to the office by assembling the prior day’s paperwork and scanning it to office and updating the long and short report
- Prepare daily paperwork by assembling the daily packet/truck diagram, printing out new BOL’s from ERP, routing BOL’s in R6, printing the pick list, attaching a seal (and temp trip device when necessary), and double-checking information with the long and short report
- Update shipping report with the information from the current day’s packets
- Assemble and input information for Tosca RPC Reporting
- Match load pictures and save on file
- Assemble the CHEP Report
- Update and compare inventory information for cooler with what is in system and verify usable dates for eggs
- Maintain SQF Reports
- Track Organic egg orders
- Communicate and cooperate with shipping clerks at other locations to ensure product mix and to maximize efficiency and profitability
- Support the plant manager as needed with inventory tracking and supply purchase orders
- Prepare daily run list one day ahead and adjust the run list as needed
- Other Duties as assigned
Required Qualifications – Education/Experience/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Previous Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word
- Demonstrates ability to use various forms of inventory software
- Must be able to speak, read, and write in English
- Willingness to be flexible with a fast-changing work environment
- Detailed oriented with demonstrate ability to provide high attention to details
- Must be able to work in interdependent work team environment
