Solution Architect - R&D

A dynamic Solution Architect is needed to join the R&D team of a leading automotive client in York, MI. This pivotal role involves leveraging AWS cloud architecture to modernize legacy systems and accelerate next-generation innovation in the automotive technology sector. Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable AWS cloud solutions for research and development (R&D) projects.
• Lead modernisation of legacy applications (PHP and similar technologies).
• Collaborate with engineering teams across multiple local sites to align architecture with business goals.
• Define and enforce best practices for security, performance, and maintainability.
• Maintain architectural documentation and reusable patterns for future projects.
  
  

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as an AWS Solution Architect (certification preferred).
• Expertise in cloud-native architecture, microservices, and containerisation (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Hands-on experience modernising legacy applications (PHP highly desirable).
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

• Frequent on-site presence expected; local candidates strongly preferred.

• Contribute to OP technical discussions, peer reviews, etc.
