Key/Primary Responsibilities
- Support the Private Cellular initiatives, including Proof of Concepts and Production deployments.
- Own and fulfill small to large strategic or tactical Private Cellular projects. Function as a point of escalation for project execution issues.
- Help design, test, and implement new Cellular/Radio solutions and Proof of Concepts.
- Helps with the vendor and solution selection process.
- Lead weekly project status meetings.
- Conduct and/or coordinate site surveys, and develop site plans to gain total coverage of the facility.
- Coordinate resources, track execution, and validate new deployments, upgrades, and expansions.
- Supervise and or perform site installs, maintenance, upgrades, or software enhancements to support the cellular DAS/Private Cellular infrastructure needs.
- Function as a point of escalation for operational issues, and work with vendors for timely resolution.
- Submit and track Change Management for all Cellular/Radio systems.
- Monitor system for trouble areas and proactively resolve and document root cause.
- Support service tickets as needed while engaged on enterprise cellular deployments.
- Engage with manufacturer technical support centers to quickly resolve issues as they arise.
- Create/maintain Operational Support Guides and any other documentation.
- Travel to the site when required to support deployments, testing, and validation.
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Business Administration, Management Information Systems or related discipline, or equivalent work experience, 8 to 10 years of professional experience.
- High-level teaming and communication skills to influence and persuade others.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create and present concepts and recommendations to management.
- Experience with Cellular Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) and signal boosting solutions.
- Experience designing and deploying Private Cellular solutions (Private 4G/5G on licensed and/or CBRS spectrums).
- Strong understanding of Network technologies and TCP/IP protocols (LAN, WAN, WLAN) and firewall.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and experience with analysis and performance evaluation tools such as Wireshark, iPerf etc.
- Extensive experience with Wireless technologies, knowledge of RF and LTE Networks, willingness and ability to learn new technologies.
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or higher certification.
- Experience designing and deploying Private Cellular Network solutions.
