Financial Planning Analyst

Onyx is a fast-growing, venture-backed social sports prediction platform. As user activity has scaled quickly, we’re expanding the team to support day-to-day operations.

Founded by Harvard graduates with a background at Jane Street, Onyx is headquartered in downtown Manhattan (NoHo). This role is Hybrid.

The Role

We’re looking for someone who can provide assistance on all things financial. As a Financial Planning Analyst at Onyx, you’ll own core financial workflows, prepare deliverables relating to business performance, and support leadership with insights that shape strategy. From managing books to improving financial operations, you’ll play a key role in building a scalable, high-performing organization.

What You'll Do

• Manage day-to-day books and financials, ensuring accuracy and timeliness across all reporting
• Build and maintain financial models and variance analysis to support strategic planning
• Spearhead tax related tasks pertinent to the business
• Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and long-term initiatives
• Aid employee onboarding from a financial and operational perspective
• Collaborate cross-functionally to support business development and growth
  
  

What We're Looking For

• 2-4 years experience working in a finance related field (5 years preferred)
• Exceptional attention to detail with a desire to optimize processes
• Familiarity with financial modeling tools and accounting software
• Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into clear insights
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with moving targets
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
• Interest in a startup within the sports gaming industry
  
  

Compensation: $80k – $150k
