Social Media Content Specialist (writing/editing) [82313]

A leading sports media company is hiring a Social Media professional to join their team to work on Sports content. Our client creates engaging sports content and innovative social campaigns. This role is based remotely and is a Temp position. Bring your social media and sports expertise and passion for sports to help develop and distribute captivating branded content that resonates with millions of sports fans.

• Hybrid in office Mon.-Thurs; Fridays remote
• 12-mo contract extend (convert to perm always depends in budget, performance, etc)

Responsibilities:

• Oversee distribution and campaign tracking for social ad sports initiatives, working closely with internal teams and external partners.
• Stay informed about social media platform updates, ensuring content quality and brand consistency.
• Support the development of creative Sports concepts during the RFP process, collaborating with production and creative teams.
• Participate in meetings to brainstorm and kickoff Sports campaigns with external creative partners.
• Educate team members and partners on social media best practices and emerging Sports trends.

Qualifications:

• 1 year’s experience managing social media content across platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
• Strong knowledge of the sports industry, athletes, rules, and current events.
• Excellent communication, organization, and editorial skills.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required for sports events.
• Bachelor's degree in marketing, journalism, communications, or related field, or a combination of training and experience.

Nice to have

• 2 years of experience using video and photo editing tools (e.g., Final Cut, After Effects, Premiere, Photoshop)
• Experience tracking, analyzing, and reporting on paid social campaign performance
• Present to senior management
• Analyze metrics
