Principal Systems Administrator [83780]

We’re partnering with our client, a technology-focused company, to find a talented Principal Systems Administrator. This remote-in-region role is classified as temp, with an expected duration of 27–52 weeks. This opportunity offers a chance to support critical systems and collaborate with a skilled IT team.

Principal Systems Administrator Responsibilities:

• Oversee the planning and implementation of long-term system operations and administration strategies across the organization.
• Provide comprehensive support and management of key systems including Cisco UCS Platform, Active Directory, Exchange 2010, and VMware.
• Assist in troubleshooting complex issues and maintain local support for IT staff.
• Assign tasks to team members, supervise projects, and evaluate work performance.
• Manage the installation, configuration, and maintenance of software, ensuring system reliability and performance.

Principal Systems Administrator Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, with 5-10 years of relevant experience in system administration.
• Entry-level management experience is required.
• Proven expertise with VMware administration and P2V conversions.
• Extensive knowledge of Active Directory and Exchange administration, particularly Exchange 2010.
• Experience with hosted applications via Citrix XenApp 6.5 or Microsoft Terminal Services.
