Fanuc CNC Setup & Programming Machinist

Direct hire opportunity based in the Berks / Lancaster / Chester county area.

As the evening lights come on in the shop, you take the lead on precision manufacturing—owning setup, programming edits, and production on Fanuc-controlled CNC equipment.

You begin by reviewing prints, interpreting GD&T, and planning the optimal setup for the material on deck. You select tooling, set offsets, and configure workholding to prepare the machine for a smooth, efficient run. At the control, you edit G-code to fine-tune cycle times and quality. You cut a first-off, verify critical features with precision measurement, and compare results against drawings before moving into production. Throughout the shift, you prepare and deburr parts—tackling complex components such as weldments and castings—while keeping safety practices front and center. When a large workpiece appears, you confidently use the overhead crane to position it with care.

• Set up and operate CNC machinery with Fanuc controls to meet exacting specifications.
• Perform at-control program edits and optimize production runs for throughput and quality.
• Select and qualify tooling; configure setups for a range of materials.
• Inspect and measure in-process and finished parts to ensure they match drawing and GD&T requirements.
• Prepare, deburr, and machine complex parts, including weldments and castings.

• 5 years of machining experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong command of shop safety and safe machine operation.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret GD&T.
• Solid metrology, inspection, and tooling knowledge.
• High School Diploma or GED; willing to operate overhead cranes.
