We’re currently seeking a full-time, in-person Special Education Teacher (ASD) to support a school in Wayne County, Michigan for the 2026–2027 school year.
Position Details
- Start Date: ASAP
- End Date: 06/10/2027
- Location: Wayne County, Michigan
- Setting: On-site, 35 hours per week
- School Year: 2026–2027
- Grades: Grades 6–8
- Openings: 1–2
- Schedule: 8:15 AM – 3:30 PM
- Pay Range: $50–$55/hour based on experience
Qualifications:
- Valid Michigan teaching certification with the appropriate Special Education / ASD credentialing
- Experience supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder in inclusive and/or specialized classroom settings.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement IEPs tailored to each student’s needs.
- Collaborate with general education staff and support teams to design and deliver inclusive instruction.
- Monitor and document student progress; adjust strategies and supports as needed.
- Support classroom behavior and facilitate social skill development using effective, student-centered approaches.
- Communicate regularly with families and school teams regarding student progress and needs.
