Onward Education is partnering with a district in Plymouth County, Massachusetts to hire a Special Education Teacher for the 2026/2027 school year. This is an elementary (K–5) role supporting students through a combination of push-in and pull-out services, including small-group pull-out and in-class support in General Education.
This position is centered on resource room / targeted intervention support, providing specialized instruction in areas such as reading, math, and skill-building while helping students succeed in the general education setting for most of their day.
Position Details:
- Location: On-site
- Hours: 35 hours/week
- Schedule: School-day schedule (district-based)
- School Year: 2026/2027
- Start Date: September 28, 2026
- Pay: $54-$57/ hour
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction aligned to IEP goals in a resource room and/or small-group setting
- Deliver push-in support within General Education classrooms to increase access and inclusion
- Implement targeted interventions (reading, math, executive functioning, social/behavioral skills as needed)
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and school teams to support student progress
- Maintain compliant IEP documentation, service logs, progress monitoring, and required reporting
- Communicate effectively with families and school stakeholders to support student success
Qualifications:
- Active Massachusetts Special Education teaching certification (required)
- Experience supporting elementary (K–5) learners in special education settings (resource/inclusion)
- Understanding of push-in/pull-out service models and evidence-based interventions
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to partner with Gen Ed and multidisciplinary teams
- Professional, reliable, and student-centered approach in a school environment
