Occupational Therapist Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized intervention plans to improve students’ fine and gross motor skills necessary for classroom activities.
• Support students in adapting classroom tools and environments for enhanced participation and independence.
• Address sensory processing challenges impacting focus, self-regulation, or engagement, creating sensory-friendly strategies.
• Collaborate with educators, families, and staff to coordinate accommodations and support goals outlined in IEPs and 504 Plans.
• Conduct assessments to evaluate student needs, monitor progress, and adjust therapy plans accordingly.

Occupational Therapist Qualifications:

• Valid state licensure as a licensed Occupational Therapist.
• Proven experience working in school settings or with students with diverse educational needs.
• Strong knowledge of pediatric occupational therapy interventions, including sensory integration and adaptive strategies.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including educators and parents.
• Effective communication skills tailored for interactions within a school environment.
