The Special Education Teacher supports preschool students with diverse learning needs by providing individualized instruction and creating inclusive learning environments that promote academic, social, and developmental growth. This role plays a vital part in helping young learners access early education and build foundational skills for future success.
Position Details:

End Date: 10/30/2026
Schedule: 8:30–4:00 Monday through Friday
Grade Levels: Preschool
Location: In Person, 37.5 hours
School Year: 2026/2027
Responsibilities: Provide specialized instruction and support to preschool students with identified disabilities in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals tailored to each student’s developmental and educational needs. Create a structured, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment that fosters learning and social-emotional development. Collaborate closely with general education teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families to support student progress. Conduct ongoing assessments, collect data, and maintain accurate documentation to ensure compliance with state and federal special education regulations. Participate in IEP meetings, team meetings, and professional development activities as required.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field. Active or eligible Colorado Special Education teaching license. Must also have CDE ECSE license. Experience working with preschool-aged children with special needs preferred. Strong knowledge of IEP development, early childhood instructional strategies, and special education laws and regulations. Excellent communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills. Ability to adapt instruction to meet the diverse needs of young learners.
