Job Description:
As a Cook at IHOP, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes according to established recipes and quality standards, ensuring a positive dining experience for our customers.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook food items for various meal services, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner, following recipes.
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, fryers, and other cooking apparatus safely and efficiently.
- Monitor food quality and presentation, ensuring all dishes meet Onvo's standards for taste, temperature, and appearance.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations, including proper food handling, storage, and cleaning procedures.
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving, rotating, and storing food supplies.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the shift.
- Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff regarding food availability and special requests.
- Respond to customer feedback and special dietary needs in a professional and accommodating manner.
Job Qualifications
- Understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
