Resource Manager

ONUG Communications, Inc.
Raleigh, NC Full Time
POSTED ON 12/20/2025
AVAILABLE BEFORE 4/18/2026

At ONUG Communications, we believe in having fun building a great company with great people achieving great results. We’re a Raleigh-area Telecom Fiber Engineering company with a long history of delivering solutions for major telco clients — and we’re growing.

If you’re a servant-minded people leader who thrives on bringing order to complexity, supporting technical teams, and ensuring the right work gets done by the right people at the right time, we want to hear from you. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys leading from behind the scenes — coaching, coordinating, and clearing the path so others can succeed.

This role offers substantial performance-based bonus opportunities and plays a critical role in supporting our Engineering and Project Management teams.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

You’ll thrive here if you’re energized by:

  • Leading with humility, integrity, and a service-first mindset
  • Supporting and developing engineers through coaching and clear expectations
  • Balancing people leadership with operational coordination and scheduling
  • Creating structure, clarity, and fairness across workloads and priorities
  • Collaborating closely with Project Managers to solve problems and meet commitments
  • Contributing to a culture where people feel supported, respected, and accountable

You don’t need the spotlight — you take pride in being the steady force that keeps teams aligned and moving forward.

What Motivates Our Team

At ONUG, our culture is built around six core values that guide every decision, connection, and celebration:

  • Do What Is Right: Integrity over convenience, always.
  • Ever Humble: We rise by lifting others.
  • Treat People the Way You Want to Be Treated: Lead with empathy and respect.
  • Always Hungry: Stay curious, keep learning, and chase growth.
  • Do Your Best: Excellence begins with intention and effort.
  • Be Smart: Think strategically, act wisely, and make it count.

These values shape how we lead people — especially in roles responsible for both performance and care.

What You’ll Be Doing

In this role, you’ll serve as the people manager and resource coordinator for ONUG’s Engineering Operations team. You’ll lead and support a group of engineering professionals responsible for fiber design services, ensuring workloads are balanced, schedules are realistic, and team members are positioned to do their best work.

You’ll work closely with Project Managers to align staffing needs, manage availability, and adjust priorities as projects evolve — all while maintaining a strong focus on coaching, development, and accountability.

You’ll also play a key role in performance management, training, and people processes in partnership with Operations Leadership and People & Culture.
