Material Handler

OnTrack Staffing is looking for a Material Handler in Grapevine TX. Under general supervision, the material handler transfers/ships product to customer, repair center and other areas required. Assist other functions within the business unit when required. Must have cycle count and inventory experience.

Shift

• Monday-Friday 7am-3:30 pm $15.00-$16 hourly pay rate

Material Handler Responsibilities/Duties:

• Proven ability and very knowledgeable to train others.
• Certified to operate all required material handling equipment.
• Proven ability to interface/negotiate with support groups.
• Gather/analyze data and maintain spreadsheets.
• Proven ability in trouble shooting problems to root cause resolution/validate and resolve cycle count issues.
• Physically transfers materials to assembly workstation, maintains bench stock and handles completed assemblies.
• Locates and transfers part shortages within the plant that may be required for completion of assemblies.
• Verifies and maintains stock documentation and shortage reports.
• May use computer applications to maintain accurate material flow transactions.
• Serve as an educator, communicator, and problem resolution link for all material handling issues.
• Works in a team to address and/or improve material handling issues.
• Identifies training needs and works with staff to ensure needs are consistently met.
• Ability to make objective data-based decisions.
• Strong process orientation and ability to understand, define, control, and improve processes.

Education/ Work Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred 2-year degree related to materials or equivalent to.
• Knowledge of MS Office, Excel, IFS, and UPS/DHL systems.
• Familiar with international shipping a plus.
• Must have Inventory and Cycle count experience
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a material handler.
• Expert in 2 or more company material processes.
• Has demonstrated proficiency in receiving, warehouse, or shipping.
• Is certified to operate some material handling equipment.
• Proven ability to lead/direct team members.
• Strong process orientation and ability to understand, define, control, and improve processes.
• The typical physical demands include average lifting of equipment from 25 (10kg) to 50 (25kg) lbs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
