About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Sonographer to join our growing fertility practice. This role is integral to our patient care team and supports the full range of reproductive endocrinology and infertility (REI) services. The ideal candidate is skilled in reproductive imaging, attentive to detail, and thrives in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality transvaginal and transabdominal ultrasounds for fertility monitoring, including:
- Fertility treatment monitoring (including evaluation of follicles, endometrial lining)
- Baseline and stimulation scans
- Early pregnancy confirmation and viability scans
- Screening GYN ultrasounds with Antral Follicle Count
- Accurately document and report findings in the EMR for physician review.
- Coordinate closely with physicians and nurses to support daily patient flow, treatment timelines, and procedure scheduling.
- Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and understanding during each ultrasound appointment.
- Maintain ultrasound equipment, troubleshoot issues, and ensure quality control compliance.
- Participate in quality assurance, clinical meetings, and continuous process improvement.
- Follow all HIPAA, infection control, and regulatory guidelines.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
- Certification: Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) in Obstetrics/Gynecology (OB/GYN) required; certification in Reproductive Endocrinology or Women’s Health Imaging a plus.
- Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of experience performing gynecologic or reproductive imaging.
- Prior fertility or reproductive medicine experience highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Expertise in transvaginal scanning and reproductive imaging.
- Familiarity with fertility EMRs and ultrasound software (e.g., IDEAS, eIVF, or similar)
- Soft Skills:
- Compassionate patient care approach.
- Excellent communication and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
