What are the responsibilities and job description for the Switchboard Operator (83034) position at ONSLOW MEMORIAL HOSPITAL?
This position functions under direct supervision and established protocols, Operates various
telecommunications equipment including: Physician Answering Services, Paging System, PA System ,Fire Alarm Circuits, and other specialized circuits used for answering incoming calls, and monitoring equipment failures and security breaches.
Education/Certifcation:
- High School Graduate or equivalent
Experience:
- Must have a least one-year customer service experience in Telecommunications Customer Service where they supported a high call volumn.
- One or more years' experience in PBX operations and General Office Practices
- Familiarity with telephone communications technique and basic computer software. Entering, accessing and /or retrieving data will be a significant port of the job.
- The Operator will need to be able to use Microsoft Office, EXCEL and Outlook proficiently, FAX copier /printer.
