What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN, House Supervisor (68433) position at ONSLOW MEMORIAL HOSPITAL?
The House Supervisor is a registered nurse responsible for directing the placement of patients across different hospital units house-wide, ensuring safe, efficient bed utilization, supporting and offering guidance regarding staff schedules to accommodate patient needs, and overseeing the overall flow of patient admissions and discharges, often acting as a key decision-maker during high-volume or complex patient placement situations.
Qualifications:Education/Certification:
Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
Current NC RN License or multistate licensure
Current BLS certification upon hire, NIHSS & NCI certification within 90 days, ALS and Notary Public certification within 6 months, PALS certification within 9 months.
Experience:
Two years Supervisory or Charge Nurse Experience preferred.
Minimum 5 years of experience in a hospital setting or 3 years in a high acuity setting.
