Maintenance Mechanic II (51483)

The Maintenance Mechanic II must be experienced and competent in general building and equipment maintenance and construction including but not limited to:  plumbing, painting, drywall, carpet, floor tile, preventive maintenance and repair to mechanical and electrical equipment and systems including the testing and overhaul of equipment. The personnel are required to participate in an on call program, on a rotating bases. They may serve as members of emergency teams as required. They may be required to be at the hospital during emergencies such as hurricanes. They may be assigned to committees or improvement teams. Working hours are as designated by the maintenance director.
 

Education/Certification:

Mechanics must have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 5 years’ experience in industrial or commercial maintenance.

Experience:

Health care experience is preferred. 

Hospital experience and universal Freon recovery license desired.
