Job Description

Onsite Ready Mix is seeking a Controller to lead the company’s financial accounting operations across multiple entities. This role focuses exclusively on financial accuracy, reporting, internal controls, and accounting compliance. The Controller will work closely with internal leadership, our current accountant, our external accounting partners at Quarterback Advisory, and our CPA firm to ensure clean, timely, and reliable financials.

Position Overview

The Controller serves as the head of accounting and is responsible for overseeing daily accounting operations, maintaining the integrity of financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements. This role will lead accounting processes, strengthen internal controls, support field operations with accurate financial data, and provide strategic insights to leadership.

Essential Responsibilities -

Core Accounting & Financial Reporting

• Oversee full-cycle accounting for multiple entities
• Maintain general ledger accuracy and ensure timely month-end close
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Perform reconciliations, variance analysis, and financial schedules
• Maintain cash flow tracking, forecasting, and financial dashboards
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, and adjusting entries
• Reconcile intercompany balances and ensure proper documentation
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting standards

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5 years of progressive accounting experience (multi-entity or construction/manufacturing preferred)
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
• Experience with ERP systems — NetSuite preferred, but not necessary
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with internal and external financial partners
